Hey guys ! I’ve been in Australia for a month now and loving it. I have still not seen any spiders, snakes or sharks ! So everything is fine. Today I am going to talk about my road trip to Melbourne ! I have seen during this trip amazing landscapes and I wanted to share it with you.

I only have classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and can watch the lectures online. So I worked a lot before and went with 5 other international students to Melbourne by the great ocean road. This is the drive we did.

We had a relocation motor home for three days from Adelaïde to Melbourne. We booked it on Imoova and had to give it back to Melbourne before Monday 3pm. It was really cheap because it was a relocation motor home (5 AUD per day for 6 people !). So it was a perfect deal for 6 students.

We left on Saturday morning and took the road for 7 hours on the Australian coast line. We did a few stops to buy food and see landscapes. We were in the middle of nowhere that was incredible.

The first night we slept in a free camping next to Port Fairy. The next day we woke up really early to see the sunrise and trust me it was worth it ! We drove around 4 hours that day but did many stops to see the beautiful views and it was all our favourite day from our trip. After seing the sunrise we stop at the Twelve Apostles ( but we can really see only 8 of them). You can see with the pictures that it was beautiful. After enjoying this amazing place, we stoped at Split Pare Lighthouse which is the southest point in Australia and it was really interesting going there. Finally, we were at a beautiful beach (well there were beaches everywhere on the road) with many Australian surfing ! The second night we slept in Wye River in a really nice camping and where happy to have a nice place and way better than the first night !

On Monday our goal was to be in Melbourne before 3pm while still enjoying the landscapes. We woke up again really early to see the sunrise on the beach and then stoped at Torquey to eat at the beach and see people surfing. We then drove to Melbourne but had problems with the motor home but made it at 2 :59, just on time !

We finally arrived in Melbourne, really tired but so happy and feeling lucky with the trip we just had. This same day we saw the pink lake ( that only stays pink during summer because of the sun). Then, after the sunset we went seeing penguin walk, it was really funny and a lot of people were waiting for them. We were sleeping in an amazing Airbnb that was defenetly more comfortable that the motor home ! On Tuesday we visited Melbourne. We saw many graffiti walls and a lot of coffee shops. I love coffee shops and they had them everywhere and with every prices and different atmospheres. Melbourne has many Asian restaurant and lot of Asian people. I was sometimes feeling in Singapore ! We then went to Brighton beach (favorite place !) and the botanic garden. To finish this beautiful trip we went to a nice restaurant and had a drink on a rooftop with a nice view of Melbourne. We took a flight back to Adelaide and went to class !

It was really a fun experience and we discovered amazing places. I had an amazing time with the other students, we were a good team. I really recommend this trip. The great ocean road is really famous and worth it. Melbourne is beautiful and huge, really different from Adelaïde, but I love both places.

I hope you liked and discovered lanscapes and places in South Australia.
